NBI-3 has new regional director
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO–The National Bureau of Investigation in Central Luzon (NBI-3) will have a new chief after a turnover ceremony this week.
Outgoing NBI-3 Regional Chief Ricardo Diaz said Assistant Regional Director Jose Husto Yap will officially assume as acting regional director after a formal turnover of responsibilities set this week.
Diaz will be transferred to Northern Mindanao (Region 10) based on the transfer order he received Tuesday from NBI National Director Nonnatus Ceasar Rojas.
Diaz, who assumed on August 15, 2010, has been known for his accomplishments against human trafficking.
From September 2010 to present, Diaz has launched a total of 32 operations resulting to the entrapment and arrests of 83 subjects and rescue of 126 persons, most of them female minors.
Some of these operations were done in partnership with the Bureau of Immigration at the Clark International Airport, the Department of Social and Welfare Development and the International Justice Mission.
