Teachers meet on Mother’s day
On the occasion of the Mother’s day, The Times NIE teachers meet was organised in the capital, which included interactive sessions and a Smart Mom contest.
Speakers for the day were Dr Tripat Chaudhary, senior consultant of obstetrics and gynaecology, Fortis La Femme; Dr Ashu Sawhney, consultant neonatologist and pediatrics, Fortis La Femme; Nita Mehta, cook book author and Rtd Lt Rita Gangwani.Over 250 school teachers from Delhi participated in the talks. But the highlight of the event was the fashion show titled Smart Mom were teachers from various schools took part at the fashion show. There were 18 contestants in total, two of which were wild card entries. The jury included designer Charu Parashar, pop singer Annamika Grover, DJ Gaurav Chawla, Ira Trivedi and Rita Gangwani.
Charu said, “It is such a delight, watching so many beautiful and talented teachers walking the ramp with so much confidence.” At the end of the function, the winners were announced. Heemal Hundoo Bhat from Shaheed Rajpal DAV Public School, Dayanand Vihar, was announced the winner of the contest while Nisha Aneja from Ryan International School, Rohini, was the first runner up and Rashika from Delhi International Public School, Rohini, made it to the second runner up position.
