Someone else reportedly paid for Ramona’s airport terminal fee

MARIA Ramona “Mara” Bautista, half-sister of Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., and a suspect in the killing of her brother, actor-model Ramgen “Ram” Revilla, reportedly had someone else pay for her airport terminal fee when she left the country.
This is according to a video footage recorded at the immigration section of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
As of 7:20 in the evening of November 4, Bautista was seen near the terminal fee counter but did not fall in line nor pay for the terminal fee, footage from the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) close circuit television (CCTV) showed.
After waiting a few seconds, Bautista decided to enter into the immigration area.
Wearing a black top, black leggings, flip flops, and a red scarf that partially covered her face, Bautista carried three small bags.
“Someone might have paid the terminal fee in her behalf because had she not fall in line at the terminal fee counter, the Immigration Officer would have asked her to first return to the terminal fee booth and pay the fee before allowing her to pass the Immigration Center,” a source at the BI said.
She fell in line at the Immigration counter no. 14 and it took her about four minutes — or from 7:23 p.m. to 7:27 p.m. — to secure clearance to leave the country. The process normally takes 45 seconds.
Based on her embarkation card, she indicated that her husband was a resident of Turkey.
Under immigration regulations, a person is disallowed from leaving the country if there is a hold departure or watch list order issued against him/her, or if the documents are questionable.
Based on the video, no one was seen escorting her at the Immigration counter.
For her part, BI spokesperson Ma. Antonette Mangrobang said that based on the video, Bautista went through the immigration counter like a normal passenger.
Bautista left Manila last Friday via a Cathay Pacific flight to Hong Kong. She then took a Turkish Airlines flight to Turkey. (FP/Sunnex)
