San Fernando the only LGU with certified processes

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Certification International Managing Director Renato Navarete said the City Government of San Fernando is “the only local government unit in the Philippines” where majority of its processes are ISO certified.
In awarding the city’s recertification to ISO 9001:2008, the latest of which is the certificate for the City Police led by Superintendent Luisito Magnaye in issuing police clearances, Navarete said, “After your completion of the reassessment of your Quality Management System, the Governing Board of Certification International Philippines Inc. hereby certifies the City Government of San Fernando to ISO 9001:28 because of your validated and consistent implementation and effectiveness on the use of ISO 9001:28 as an instrument for enhancing the competitiveness of your organization and meeting your customers’ needs and expectations.”

“You are the only local government unit in the country in the Philippines to have been certified so far,” Navarete said.

The City Government is bound to conquer the hall of fame once more, as it has reduced the business permit processing time to just 23 minutes, said City Administrator Ferdinand Caylao.
An ecstatic Mayor Oscar Rodriguez said in return, “It is all through our concerted efforts we are reaching our dream to become a habitat of human excellence.”
“We are also in the finals of the most livable cities of the world and let’s join hands in improving the life of our beloved Fernandinos,” added Rodriguez.
