RW 95.1 FM is country’s Best Provincial FM Radio Station

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Laus Group of Companies’ tri-media affiliate DWRW 95.1 FM was again recognized as the Country’s Best FM Radio Station in the Provincial Category in the recent 20th Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas Golden Dove Awards held at the Star Theater, Star City, CCP Complex in Pasay City.
Popularly known as the “countryside radio,” DWRW 95.1 FM of the Central Luzon Broadcasting Corporation (CLBC) bested three other radio stations including Monster Radio BT 105.9 in Cebu, DWOK 97.5 FM in Naga City, and DWGV-FM 99.1 in Pampanga.
RW 95.1 FM station manager Fernando “Perry” Pangan, along with Assistant Marketing Manager Alberto “Boy” Santiago, Assistant Manager for Programming & Production Niña Carla “DJ Tyra” Mendoza, and Programming Supervisor Aubrey “DJ Alex” Sembrano, graced the stage to receive the award.
In his short speech, Pangan thanked the whole DWRW–FM team and Laus Group of Companies chairman and CEO Levy P. Laus.
The Golden Dove Awards is an annual ceremony hosted by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) or Association of Broadcasters of the Philippines. Since 1990, KBP has recognized the responsibility of responding to the goals of the broadcast industry and the nation as a whole.
For the second time, RW 95.1 FM was one among the few to have been awarded the Golden Dove, which is “the Symbol of Excellence in Philippine Broadcasting.”
Its first win was back in 2007, where RW 95.1 was named the Country’s Best FM Radio Station at the 16th KBP Golden Dove Awards besting four national stations Jam 88.3, Wave 89.1, Love Radio 93.1 and Monster Radio RX 93.1.
Today, RW 95.1 continues to be the most listened FM radio station, and it has just celebrated 16 years of providing heartfelt music and public service.
While the station plays contemporary hits and offers its own roster of public affairs programs, the prime FM radio station in the country strives to respond to the fast changing times. This was first proven during the Pinatubo eruption back in 1991, where 95.1 FM served as the source of information that saved the lives of our kabalens.
As the province of Pampanga began to rise from the ashes left by the devastation, RW has continued to serve as a partner in the region’s development and progress. RW’s commitment has eventually furthered by reaching out to more listeners when it launched its official website, www.rw951.fm back in 2009.
As it celebrated its 16th year last August 17, 2011, RW 95.1 officially launched its very own online streaming, making it accessible worldwide through the Internet.
All these further attest to RW 95.1’s continuous quest in improving its programming to give what their listeners need and want, making RW 95.1 FM their ultimate source of news and entertainment.
