Police office commemorates Our Lady of Perpetual Help feast

CAMP OLIVAS — Despite floods brought by Tropical Storm “Falcon”, the Annual Feast Day of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was commemorated Tuesday at the Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel here.
The celebration was attended by personnel of the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon headed by Regional Director Edgardo Ladao, together with his command staff.
A mass was celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Roberto C Mallari, DD, and current president of the University of the Assumption.
Co-celebrators of the mass were Rev. Fr. Ramon Torres, resident priest of San Fernando Cathedral; Rev. Fr. Carlos Maria De Guzman, director of LOGOS Publication and president of Catholic Trade Manila; Rev. Fr. Elmer Tumamak, BJMP chaplain; and Superintendent Eligio Mativo Jr., PRO-Central Luzon chaplain.
In advent to the Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, a 10-day Novena Mass, which started on June 18, was celebrated and a procession of the image of Our Mother of Perpetual Help was held within the camp premises.
In his message, Ladao, who is a Marian devotee, emphasized the importance of one of the core values of the Philippine National Police (PNP), which is being God-fearing.
He said the public must recognize the role of Mary in their day-to-day life, especially in performing the PNP’s mandated tasks.
