Police file criminal case vs cop, 2 others

THE Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) has filed at the City Prosecutor’s Office murder complaints against a policeman and two others who were tagged as behind the killing of a salesman early this year.
ZCPO Director Edwin de Ocampo identified the suspects as Police Officer 3 (PO3) Simeon Acain, who is assigned with the Regional Public Safety Battalion; Nhadzmin Ramirez and a certain Dennis.

De Ocampo said the three were found to be responsible for the killing of Lucas Cabot, 42, based on investigation conducted by the Police Station 7 headed by Chief Inspector Felixberto Martinez.
Cabot, a salesman of the Laguna-based Wurth Company that deals vehicle parts and accessories imported from Germany, was found dead with a bullet wound in the head in the morning of February 22 in Barangay Tumaga.
Martinez said the suspects’ identities were uncovered through months of investigation conducted by his command in connection with the killing of Cabot.
De Ocampo added that the suspects, who are still at large, will be arrested as soon as the court will issue their warrants of arrest.
He lauded Martinez and his men who exerted efforts for several months just to solve the killing of the sales representative.
