P125, 000 educational assistance distributed
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Board Member Trina Dizon distributed P125,000 worth of educational assistance to 50 needy students from the 3rd District towns of Bacolor, Mexico, Sta. Ana, Arayat, and the City of San Fernando at Bale Katimawan of the Provincial Police Office.
The students received P2,500 “extra help” each, said Dizon, for their first semester college courses expenses.
“We know that the amount is not enough but we do hope it will help. Maliit lamang po ito pero makatutulong na rin sa panggastos ninyo sa pag-aaral. Tandaa n lamang sana ninyo na hindi lang galing kay Board Member Trina Dizon ito kung hindi tulong na mula kay Governor Lilia Pineda na pinasasalamatan natin,” Dizon told the students and their parents.
Dizon said they have requested Governor Pineda for additional slots since many more from the 3rd District have been asking for help in their desire to get quality education, and in return help their families when they graduate.
“We have made our requests to our governor na dagdagan ang ating slots upang mas marami tayong matulungan. Sana kayo naman ay pagbutihan a ng pag-aaral, walang bagsak na grade at makapagtapos na upang mabigyan naman ng pagkakataon ang iba na makapag-aral din,” she added.
Among the batch of recipients, three are already in the fourth year tertiary schooling while one is set graduate this semester.
