Molo district readies July 26 fiesta

THE district of Molo, Iloilo City is set to hold its annual religious fiesta on July 26 in honor of St. Anne as a symbol of devotion and commitment to good governance.
Fiesta activities are organized by the Association of Barangay Captains headed by Liga president Pascual Espinosa IV of Barangay San Juan.
Espinosa said Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri will serve as the honored guest and coronation speaker. Ilonggo Senator Franklin M. Drilon, Congressman Jerry P. Treñas and Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog will also grace the celebration.
Espinosa also revealed the district is up for development projects amounting to more than P280 million facilitated by Drilon and Mabilog.
The senator pledged to put up a P250-million Iloilo City sports complex at Barangay San Pedro where the city owns some six-hectare lot.
Drilon also recently donated P3 million as assistance in the construction of Molo public market, he added.
Drilon, Treñas, and Mabilog are native of Molo.
