Lawmaker to sponsor licensure exam review for teachers

MEXICO — Third district Representative Aurelio Gonzales will start this week the free review class for teachers of the district who would like to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).”The program aims to equip these would-be teachers with the needed mental preparedness to brave the LET exams. We will be shouldering the expenses on the meals and fees of the reviewers,” Gonzales said.Gonzales said review will also be held in the City of San Fernando to minimize the travel expenses of the review takers. The free review sessions are in response to the need of having more LET passers to man teaching posts in the district.”We do not just need teachers, we need qualified teachers that could competently handle the mentoring of our students and pupils in the private schools,” Gonzales said.The Professional Regulations Commission announced that the 2011 LET will be held simultaneously in Manila, and other designated regions and cities nationwide on April 3, 2011 and September 25, 2011.Published in the Sun.Star Pampanga newspaper on August 02, 2011.
