Guv, board members give goods to 3 Aeta villages

FLORIDABLANCA — Governor Lilia Pineda distributed last Wednesday foodstuffs and goods to some 500 Aeta residents of Barangays Camachile, Mawakat and Nabuklod as part of Provincial Government’s social services program.
Pineda was accompanied by Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon, Nestor Tolentino, Teresito Lingad and Ricardo Yabut at the Nabuklod Elementary School here.
The distribution is part of the regular service program for Aetas here that aims to provide food support during times that they are preparing for the next planting season. Pineda said the assistance aims to give the Aetas enough buffer support to get them through the non-productive months.
Board Member Fritize David-Dizon said the distributed goods include foodstuffs, canned goods and rice. She said most of the beneficiaries are very thankful for the support extended by the Provincial Government.
Beneficiaries from Mawacat and Camachiles were transported to Nabuclod using Provincial Government trucks to be able to get their benefits. The three villages are mountain communities. Public transport system in the area is almost non-existent.
Nabuclod barangay chairman Roger Apang told Sun.Star Pampanga that the villagers are happy with the help extended by the Provincial Government.
