Gonzales in latest survey
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A Manila-based pollster revealed Monday that incumbent Representative Aurelio Gonzales (3rd district, Pampanga) topped the latest poll results involving 2,500 respondents from the five towns and one city of the district.
Ramon Navarra Jr., chief of staff of Gonzales, said the Gonzales topped over City of San Fernando Mayor Oscar Rodriguez.
Navarra said the survey was done by a Manila-based poll company.
In Bacolor town, Gonzales got 66.87 percent (267 respondents), while Rodriguez got 28.8 percent (115). In Mexico town, Gonzales got 67.2 percent from respondents, while Rodriguez finished at 26.2 percent.
In the City of San Fernando, 325 (40.6 percent) of the 800 surveyed respondents said they are in favor of Rodriguez for the congressional race, while Gonzales finished a few points higher with 409 (51.1 percent) of the respondents, responding favorably for a third term for Gonzales.
In the positive correlation of the said survey results, voters for Gonzales are likely to vote for gubernatorial candidate Lilia Pineda with 45.65 percent positive correlation.
The survey also said that the voters who are in favor of Rodriguez are likely to vote for former Governor Eddie Panlilio with 21.89 positive correlation.
Most of the respondents of the survey come from the marginalized sector (46.3 percent), while the rest come from the middle (38.3) and upper classes (15.4).
