Espino lauds guv for funding medical building

ARAYAT – Mayor Luis “Chito” A. Espino on Friday lauded Gov. Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda for providing P4 million of her provincial funds for the construction of a new medical building at the Arayat District Hospital in order to provide much needed health services to Kapampangans.
Espino said the construction of another medical building will further improve the operations of the Arayat district hospital, which currently lacks rooms to accommodate the growing number of patients.
He also said that apart from his constituents, patients from Sta. Ana, Candaba and even Nueva Ecija also troop to the said hospital for medical treatment.
“Napakalaking tulong ang ibinigay na proyekto ni Gov sa aking mga kababayan ditto sa Arayat, upang lalong mapagbuti ang kalagayan ng mga pasyente, para hindi na kinakailangan pumunta pa sa mga pribadong hospital dahil sa kakulangan ng mga hospital beds at mga kagamitan,” Espino said.
Espino added that aside from the P4-million fund, the Governor also provided medical equipment such as X-Ray machines, dialysis machines, ultra-sound and operating tables. She also assigned a cardiologist to look after the patients.
“Malinaw na nakikita natin ang walang sawang pagmamalasakit ng ating mahal na gobernador para sa kalusugan ng mga Kapampangan,” Espino said.
The mayor said the LGU here fully supports the plans and programs of Pineda, especially in providing much-needed health care services to indigent Kapampangans.
In a related story, the LGU on Friday conducted a medical and dental mission in Barangay Buensuceso here where 1,100 individuals, mostly women and children, benefited.
Vice Mayor Larry Trinidad told Sun.Star Pampanga that a series of medical and dental missions is being undertaken by the office of the mayor and the Sanggunian Bayan in partnership with the Liga ng mga Barangays to bring health care services to their constituents.
Trinidad said more than 4,000 individuals from Barangay Turu, San Mateo, San Nicolas and Buensuceso have already benefited from the said medical mission.
He said that aside from the medical mission, the LGU has also provided PhilHealth Cards to thousands of indigent constituents.
