District hospital gets P2-M equipment

GUAGUA — The Helping Hands, Healing Hearts Ministries Philippines Inc. donated Tuesday some P2 million in medical equipment and supplies to the Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital (DPMMH).
The group is primarily based in Olongapo City, where it operates a recovery center for sick children. The group also has a unit in Baguio City.
Dr. Andrew Jay Pusung said the Helping Hands group recognizes the need of the DPMMH in terms of equipment to better address the number of patients it accommodates every day.
Loy Napalan, coordinator for Helping Hands, said it is now their second time to donate to the DPMMH. She said their group has been very particular in helping sick people through their ministry programs and donations to hospitals.
Governor Lilia Pineda thanked the group for its donation, saying the equipment will greatly help the hospital’s operations. (Ian Ocampo Flora)
