Councilors get nebulizers, med supplies

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Committee on health chair Monina Laus distributed Thursday medicine supplies and nebulizers to town councilors here to improve health assistance to their constituents.
Laus distributed 60 sets of nebulizer equipments and medical supplies to local officials of Sta. Ana and Arayat as part of her committee’s health assistance program.

Laus said it is essential to put more attention to barangay health centers and their capacity to address local health concerns through availability of medical supplies and equipment.
“I urge our barangay captains though their municipal councilors to strengthen their Botika sa Barangay or Barangay Health Centers in order to provide basic medical help to local residents,” Laus said.
During the distribution, the board member also encouraged town councilors to come up with their health programs that capitalize on disease prevention.
She said a good health program saves government money and makes for a healthy citizenry. (IOF)
