Board member replaced by daughter

LUBAO — The only daughter of late Board Member Edna David took oath as the new board member of Pampanga’s second district.
Olga Frances David-Dizon was sworn in by second district Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo here on Tuesday afternoon.
Dizon formally replaced her mother as board member following the recommendation of the Lakas-CMD Party.
David succumbed to lung cancer last year. Dizon said she will do her best in keeping up with the legacy of her mother.
Dizon is the eldest of five siblings of the David political family of Porac. Her father Roy David was the town mayor during the early 1990s. She is married to businessman Ruben Dizon Jr.
“I have prepared myself for the enormous task knowing that this would greatly help the constituents that my mother loved so much,” she said.
She also vowed to continue her mother’s civic programs for the district.
Dizon is expected to attend the provincial board session on Monday. (Ian Ocampo Flora)
