Bahay Pag-Ibig gets donation from SM Foundation

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The SM Foundation, the socio-civic arm of the SM Group of Companies, donated over the weekend clothes and cash assistance to Bahay Pag-Ibig here in cooperation with Caritas and SM City Pampanga.
The donation was facilitated by SM Foundation representative Dalfhen Samson, SM Pampanga public relations officer Rain Cervantes and Caritas representatives Rowena Binuya and Fr. Kenneth Alde.
The group donated clothes, personal items, and cash assistance to Bahay Pag-Ibig, which is a non profit, non-government institution that takes care of Pampanga’s poor, sick and abandoned. The institution operates primarily on voluntary contributions and donations.
Samson said SM Foundation is very much concerned with helping not just poor communities and indigents, but also non-government institutions that share the same mission of helping the poor.
He said that the clothes came from donations spearheaded by the foundation among its mall goers. Currently, SM Foundation is also gathering donations for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami disasters that hit Japan.
For her part, Binuya thanked SM Foundation and SM City Pampanga for their efforts to help. She said the SM Foundation has continued to be a reliable partner in serving the least fortunate in the province.
