3 barangay tanod electrocuted
ORANI, Bataan–Three barangay tanod suffered severe burns in their bodies following an electrocution accident in this town on Tuesday.
The victims were identified as Jonicio Delay, 60, Angelito Tungol, 40, and a certain Lando Santiago, all barangay tanod of Barangay Tugatog, this town.
Police report said the electrocution accident happened around 10 a.m. in Tugatog when the victims were erecting an iron pole to be used as antenna of a two-way radio which touched a live wire.
The victims were rushed to the Orani District Hospital.
According to reports, attending doctors said the victims suffered third degree burns all over their body.
The victims are now recuperating in the hospital.● Butch Gunio
