1st Club Celica Pampanga hosts auto show

ANGELES CITY — The 1st Club Celica Pampanga held their first ever auto show at SM City Clark’s The Meeting Place, bringing together different models of Toyota Celica and their owners.
The two-day event that was held over the weekend was exclusively organized by Club Celica Pampanga, a newly-formed Car Club of which all members are Toyota Celica car owners.
The event features the display of one of the most popular Toyota models that started production in December 1970 to Apr 2006. There are at least seven generations of Toyota Celica models. The name is ultimately derived from the Latin word coelica meaning “heavenly” or “celestial”.
SM City Clark public relations officer Venus Manalang said the event gives opportunity to car enthusiasts to see rare models of Toyota.
She said SM City Clark supports even other exhibitions of hobbyists, collectors and groups who would like to make use of the mall for their event activities.
The event included a Band Fest and DJ Fest that entertained mall goers who stayed at The Meeting Place.
The event was made possible through the efforts of Club Celica Pampanga president Lesler So, vice president Jen McKay, and executive officers Richard Cheng and Arjal Altes.
