Guv gives social, medical services

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Provincial Government led Tuesday a medical and social services mission at the Bren Z. Guio Convention Center for women with disabilities, among others.
Hundreds of women trooped to the center in celebration of the National Women’s Month. There were free medical services like ECG, urine and blood exam, and free consultation. Free medicines were also distributed.
Governor Lilia Pineda said the event aimed at improving the health and promoting wellness among the different women sector of the province.
The event is part of the Provincial Government’s commemoration of Women’s Month, which kicked-off last Monday.
Committee on women and family chairman Trina Dizon said stress debriefing and assistance were also given to the wives of overseas workers from Libya. Possible livelihood alternatives were also offered.
Pineda also distributed shirts and grocery items to those who attended the event.
