Labor office, province conduct seminar for bizmen

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) in Central Luzon and the Pampanga Provincial Government recently conducted a two-day Entrepreneurship Development Training (EDT) for members of associations under the Negosyo King Panyulung Program (NPP).
The labor agency, along with the Provincial Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCEDO), conducted the seminar to further enhance the capability of micro-entrepreneurs in improving their respective enterprises.
The EDT is also part of the livelihood assistance package under the labor agency’s Kabuhayan program.
Dole Information Officer Jerry Borja said a total of 124 members of five NPP associations based in the towns of Apalit, Candaba, Minalin, Sta. Rita and Arayat participated during the February 22-23 training.
Among the topics discussed are “Ang Tao Bilang Yaman,” “Basic Entrepreneurship,” “Legal Requirements” and “Wastong Pagbebenta (Marketing),” Borja said.
Aurita Limpin, Ailyn Taruc and Arlene Castillo of the Dole Pampanga Field Office served as resource speakers of the training.
The NPP is a project of the Provincial Government designed to provide financial loan assistance to qualified micro entrepreneurs in marginalized areas of Pampanga.
