Lazatin sponsors excellence awards
March 5, 2011
ANGELES CITY — The search for students with exceptional ability who will be bestowed the 2011 Carmelo F. Lazatin Medal of Excellence Awards (CFL-MOE) is on.
Pampanga first district Representative Carmelo F. Lazatin, eight years ago, started the search for students coming both from public and private schools in elementary, high school and college in this city and the towns of Mabalacat and Magalang who are at par with the academic and non-academic standards the lawmaker laid out.
Lazatin said there will be one CFL-MOE awardee for each primary, secondary and tertiary levels in public and private schools all over the district.
Schools are enjoined to recommend nominees that excel in Mathematics, Science, Information Technology, and English.
Under Lazatin’s MOE, all recipients will be recognized on the very day of their graduation ceremonies and may receive educational assistance from the office of the congressman.
Lazatin said that for the 2011 search, his office will be giving financial assistance to all those who will receive the award instead of scholarship grants.
Deadline for the submission of the nominations for the CFL-MOE is slated on March 18. Entries may be submitted to the Lazatin’s Farm in Barangay Telebastagan, City of San Fernando.
