Local developer opens third BPO building in Clark

MANILA, Philippines — Local real state developer Bertaphil will open its third facility at the Clark Special Ecomic Zone targeting investors from the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

Called Center@Clark, the 3,000 square meter facility will open for occupancy next month.

The facility is expected to provide 20,000 more jobs to communities around the former US military base in the province of Pampanga, north of Metro Manila.

Multinational companies like Rolls Royce, Pacific Carpet, Nanox, H3 Technology, Sutherland Global Services and Intellirisk Management Corporation have located in Bertaphil’s first two IT facilities in Clark.

The latest facility is likewise expected to attract BPO companies looking to expand their business in the Philippines outside of major hubs like Metro Manila and Cebu.

“This development is consistent with a trend that CB Richard Ellis first observed, the expansion of BPO opportunities from Manila to peripheral areas in Luzon and other provincial cities,” said Rick Santos, chairman of CB Richard Ellis Philippines, which sources clients for Bertaphil’s facilities.
