Mayor: No jueteng in city
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO β Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan said Thursday small town lottery (STL) and not jueteng is operating in this city.
Pamintuan said the City Government already received some P1.2 million from STL operations here. STL in this city, which is legal under current laws, is operated by the Lake Tahoe Corporation.
Pamintuan also said he has not been receiving any money from jueteng or from STL, stressing that STL earnings of the city are directly remitted to the city coffers.
βThis amount goes directly to the City Government and I do not get a single centavo from it,β Pamintuan said.
Earlier, Pampanga police Director Senior Supt. Psetronio Retirado also denied the existence of jueteng in the province.
