Smart, SM malls support Mutya ning Kapampangan

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Smart Group, which has over 46-million subscribers, and the SM malls in Pampanga are supporting the Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2012.
Pageant chairperson Olga Frances David-Dizon said her initial meetings with Jose Rosete, manager of Smart’s Public Affairs Department, are successful, adding: “We all felt the genuine concern and generosity of the people behind the top wireless company in the country.”
David-Dizon said Manuel V. Pangilinan, who is chairman of Smart, was the special guest and speaker of last year’s week-long Pampanga founding anniversary celebrations, which will be participated by the province’s 19 towns and three cities and the Most Outstanding Kapampangan Awards (Moka) in December 11.
This year’s celebrations will begin in December 4, she said.
Arwin Lingat, Pampanga tourism officer, said the SM supermalls in Angeles City and two others in the capital city will be the hosts of various events lined-up for the contest and anniversary celebration.
He said the swimming suit competition will be held at the SM City San Fernando Downtown in December 4, while the pre-pageant will be at the Event Centre of SM City Clark in December 7. The coronation night is in December 10 at the Bren Z. Guiao Gym.
The organizers added the 22 contestants will have a tour in Marquee Mall, Angeles City.
