Police checkpoints for Undas begin Oct 28
CAMP OLIVAS, PampangaโThe Philippine National Police in Central Luzon is in full alert in preparation for the All Saints Day/ Souls Day observance.
Central Luzon Regional Director, Chief Supt Edgardo Ladao, said the yearly security measure is to ensure public safety and well-being during the traditional observation of All Saints Day and All Souls Day on November 1 and 2.
Ladao said he has already gave directives to all city and provincial directors from different Police offices to strictly conduct checkpoint operations and bus terminal inspections starting October 28 to November 3.
Motorists Assistance Centers will also be established along major thoroughfares to help travellers heading towards their different provinces the police regional director said.
Ladao added that on October 31, PNP personnel will be deployed to the different cemeteries in the region and Public Assistance Centers are to be established to help people.
Also, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams/barangay tanods are deputized by the PNP to assist in the implementation of โIMPLAN KALULUWA.โ
