Village peacekeepers nabs man smoking weed

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO β€” Operatives of the Barangay Peace Keeping Action Team (BPATS) here recently nabbed a suspect who was caught in a pot session with two unidentified suspects in Northville Resettlement, Barangay Calulut, this city.
The arrested suspect was identified as Noel Cortez, 24, of Barangay Maimpis this city.
Investigations showed that members of the BPATS were on patrol when they spotted three unidentified men in the act of smoking suspected marijuana.
The above-mentioned suspect was apprehended but two of his companion eluded arrest.
Police requested the suspects to get what’s inside the latter’s pocket, which yielded one aluminum foil containing suspected marijuana.
The suspected marijuana was turned-over to the Philippine National Police Regional Crime Laboratory Office in Camp Olivas for examination while the suspect is now presently detained at San Fernando CPS.
Pertinent documents are being prepared for inquest proceedings.
