Police deny youth abduction incidents
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A top police official denied reports of kidnapping cases, particularly of those eight years old and below, across Pampanga.
Senior Superintendent Edgardo Tinio, provincial police director, said he has ordered chiefs of police to verify the reports but found these as false.
“The reports are negative. These reports spread through text messages just like how the cult-murderer groups were spread,” Tinio said.
Two weeks ago, reports spread that a high school student from Angeles City was abducted by unidentified men onboard a sports utility vehicle.
There were also reports involving two minors who were allegedly kidnapped in Magalang and Mabalacat towns.
However, Tinio said the public should not worry since police have already found the said reports as false.
Still, Tinio encouraged the public to report any crimes within their areas, including kidnapping incidences.
Earlier, reports have spread that members of a cult have been murdering Kapampangan families as part of the group’s ritual.
The police, however, found the cult issue to be a hoax.
