Man shot to death

MABALACAT — A 36-year-old man was killed in a shooting incident along the MacArthur Highway in Barangay Dau here on Friday.
The victim, Teddy Mallari Bondoc, 36, single, of Villa Quintana, Sitio Balaba in Barangay Dau here, sustained gunshot wounds on the head and body, police said.
Chief Inspector Jowen Dela Cruz, Dau police commander, said that Bondoc was driving a tricycle and headed towards the commercial district of Barangay Dau (north to south direction) when assaulted by the gunmen who were on board a motorcycle.
One of the suspects, Dela Cruz said, fired successive shots onto the victim.
Bondoc was hit twice and his tricycle crashed onto a truck parked at the opposite lane of the highway.
Dela Cruz said they conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspects who remains at large as of Sunday.
“We will continue our investigation to establish the identity of the suspects and the motive behind the killing,” Dela Cruz said.
Bondoc’s body was taken to the Funeraria Pangilinan for autopsy and funeral services, Dela Cruz said.
