Man arrested for illegal possession of firearms
CAMP OLIVAS — Police recently arrested a man for illegal possession of firearms in Angeles City.
Ramil Escalante, 46, a resident of Barangay San Jose, was nabbed for indiscriminately firing a handgun between Nepomuceno and Lakandula streets in the said village.
Escalante was arrested after being reported by a village official along with other residents.
Responding police officers noticed the protruding wooden handle of an unknown caliber of handgun on Escalante’s waistline, prompting them to arrest him.
Recovered from his possession and control were five live ammunitions for magnum 357 and 10 live ammunition for caliber 38.
The suspect was brought to Police Station 1 of Angeles City Police Office for further investigation and filing of appropriate charges.
