Quarry collections seen to mark good year
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The quarry collections in Pampanga is seen to mark another year, said Environment and Natural Resources chief Art Punsalan.
He said the Provincial Government, under the leadership of Governor Lilia Pineda and Vice Governor Joseller “Yeng” Guiao, collects around P16 million to P20 million per month.
The quarry industry in Pampanga under the administration of Governor Lilia Pineda Pineda backed-up by the careful watch of Vice-Governor Joseller โYengโ Guiao is seen to mark another, or better yet, the best of its years.
Punsalan said the local executivesโ moves to streamline quarry operations in the province have yielded additional positive results.
The quarry industry in this province has prepped up income that has sustained moves for economic growth and rebounds for some 20 municipalities.
โFor November alone, the collection was posted at P18,930,000. If you can recall, the month had so much holidays but because of instituted and streamlined processes, we made it that far so much so that a dayโs collection — on a Tuesday, which is a holiday, was at P1,695,000. On the fourth week, we posted P5,010,000. Without excuses as of to seasonality and holidays, records were set at P18,930,00 for that month alone while our run rate total is at P340,845,000,โ Punsalan told Sun.Star Pampanga.
In terms of projections, Punsalan said the collection rate will not dip for reasons of holidays or โseasonal causesโ reasoned by the previous administration.
โTrue to our study, we are averaging at P20 million a month and that would remain. It may dip a bit lower but that is what our time and motion study reveals. All factors considered, it is and would be a good year for our quarry industry,โ said Punsalan.
