Analysis:

Visitor count includes hotel occupants, facility entrances,  VIP guests and visitors from different local tours as well as foreign guests from cruise ships.  Visitors during special events are also counted. The total visitor count in 2008 climbed up by a whopping 198 percent.  Some of the contributory factors were the figures coming from SCTEX  during long week-ends and holiday season and the increasing number of hotels that had been submitting figures of their their monthly guests.  Also noteworthy  were the series of successful events held inside the SBFZ in 2008 which lured lots of local and foreign visitors alike
