“Scuba Diving…… Is one of the greatest sports of all time.” – 11Aug01

Scuba diving has become one of the greatest recreational sports all around the world and can even be a profession. You have found the place you need to be your resource for scuba diving information.
The word ‘Scuba’ is the abbreviation of Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. Hence, it means swimming under water using SCUBA i.e. a cylinder of compressed gas to breathe (usually air, but sometimes other gases to stay underwater much longer , often for hours) and other equipments such as face masks, breathing regulators, buoyancy devices, fins and gauges.
Once you have learned enough to be comfortable as a diver, you will want to try out new locations. There are several places around the world and even near wherever you live to go. If you live far from the ocean, you can find lakes and large rivers. Visit our Diving Places page for suggestions and information.
Recreational diving is mostly self-regulated. However, many diving related sales and rental outlets require proof of diver certification from the organizations such as PDIC (Professional Diving Instructors Corporation) or PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) prior to selling or renting certain products or services. The reasons are based on the potential for danger to divers who are not properly prepared. Our Learning & Certification page will help you along this way.
Like any sport, scuba diving has special equipment. In fact, it requires perhaps more equipment than most other sports. Our Dive Gear page will lead you to sound decisions in purchasing the gear and equipment you need.
Dive resorts are facilities that cater exclusively to the enthusiast who wants a great hotel or comfortable accommodation as well as top notch diving services and facilities. Dive resorts often offer dive certification programs, daily excursions, qualified dive masters, gear and anything else one can think of. Finding out the great Scuba Diving Resorts page is as simple as deciding on your dive sites your are looking for.
There is much more information available today about underwater activity around the world than there was only a decade ago. Our Media page will serve as a map to navigate yourself to the most valuable media, such as DVD training, Magazines, Websites, etc.
Because of the nature of this activity, danger is a real concern. You are placing yourself in an unfamiliar environment (which is part of the fun!) and so you need not only training and good equipment, but you also need to know safety principles. Come and learn what it takes at our Scuba Diving Safety page.
Most would agree that it’s for the sheer enjoyment of experiencing the underwater world. This world is a vastly unexplored environment for many people. Be it the beautiful and brightly coloured marine life or the thrill of watching the power and grace of a school of sharks or discovering a cave and even artifacts such as a sunken ship, it is incredibly addictive because there are endless dive sites around the world.
You may find yourself migrating to a more specific type of dive. You may prefer a dive where you are able to float with the currents while relaxing and taking in the sights. On the other hand, getting the adrenaline rush as you move with hundreds of hammerhead sharks might be more to your liking.

With new golf courses springing up in and around Clark Philippines and an ever-increasing patronage by tourists from neighboring South Korea, Clark Freeport is short on hotel accommodation.

Even with the addition of 27 holes in 2009 and 2010, there is an acute shortage golf tee times for at least 5-6 months each year. Local players compete with frustrated (golf) tourists from Korea and China for tee times. Unfortunately Clark Philippines doesn’t have the luxury of vast tracts of land suitable for this type of development.

Mimosa offers 36 holes of championship golf, visitors can pay and play, busy during the weekends but not that difficult to get on or join up with a group to form a 4-ball. The new FAKCC offers 27 holes of world-class golf.
