Labor department: 3,000 jobs available in Bataan

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — About 3,000 job opportunities will soon be available in Central Luzon, an official from the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) in the region said.
In his report to Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz, Dole Regional Director Leopoldo De Jesus said that more than 3,000 job opportunities within the next two years are up for grabs to job seekers from the province of Bataan and the rest of the region
De Jesus disclosed the report when he attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Sumi Philippines Wiring Systems (SPWS) Corporation at the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park, Hermosa, Bataan, on Friday.
Also with Director De Jesus were Assistant Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio, and Nely Punzalan, head of the Dole Bataan Field Office.
Other personalities who attended the groundbreaking were Hermosa Mayor Danilo Malana and former first district congressman and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority chairman Felicito Payumo.
Executives from Sumi Philippines Wiring Systems Corporation, including its president Takashi Takagaki, managing executive director Masami Makido, IWS Realty president Alice De Vera and other notable dignitaries from the province, were also present.
At the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park, the groundbreaking was held at the 6.5-hectare land where the company’s manufacturing plant will be built.
According to one of Japan’s leading wiring harness manufacturer, the site in the Ecozone suitably fits the company’s standards.
President Takagaki said they will ensure safe working conditions and compliance to Philippine labor laws for its would-be employees.
