STA. ANA — An official of Barangay Sta. Lucia here denied Friday earlier reports that a suspect in a recent robbery and sexual molestation case is residing in said village.
Suspect Alex Veltran, who allegedly raped a dentist in Mexico town, declared in a dental clinic information sheet that he is residing at 106 Barangay Santa Lucia, Sta. Ana town.
Sun.Star Pampanga went to the suspect’s supposed address but it later turned out that the house is owned by village councilman Narciso Pangilinan.
He lamented that his residence has been placed in surveillance by authorities since the story about the dentist in Sto. Domingo Mexico town came out.
Pangilinan, who is the village’s committee chair on peace and order, said he would not tolerate nor protect anybody doing harm to others.
Emerito Pangilinan, also a councilman in said village, said that barangay record shows that no Veltran is living in the area.
Governor Lilia Pineda earlier offered a P200,000 reward to anyone who can give information about the suspect’s whereabouts.
The governor said the reward will hasten the manhunt operation conducted by the provincial police.
