Province completes P110-million infra projects

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Pampanga Provincial Government has completed about P110 million worth of various infrastructure projects across the province in the past 12 months.
Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO) officer-in-charge Renato Gutierrez said they were able to complete the construction of two-classroom school buildings with comfort rooms worth P1,509,546.80 at San Isidro Elementary School in Sta. Rita; three at San Jose Elementary School in Macabebe worth P2,490,500.86; three at San Mateo Elementary School in Arayat worth P2,332,204.92; and the repair and improvement of seven classrooms school building at Caduang Tete High School in Macabebe worth P1,018,764.18.

Also completed were the two-storey hospital building of San Luis District Hospital worth P8,393,928.88; improvement of Ricardo Rodriguez Memorial Hospital at the Bulaon Resettlement in the City of San Fernando, P1,776,909.13; construction of Diosdado Macapagal Hospital’s Dialysis Center in Guagua, P888,875.75; improvement and renovation of Mabalacat District Hospital, Phase 2, worth P10,368,476.26.

Moreso, 64 units of bunk houses for the landslide victims in San Juan BaΓ±o, Arayat worth P5,723,337 were completed.

Other infrastructure projects finished were the improvement of Mandili dike slope protection in Candaba worth P3,166,828.46; and Sta. Ana-San Luis provincial road slope protection in San Sebastian, San Luis worth P2,310,272.42.

Gutierrez said the Provincial Government also completed by contract the improvement and concreting of 617-linear-meter provincial road in San Juan-San Jose-Natividad-Lambac-Pulong Masle road Lambac section in Guagua, P3,925,169.43; San Matias-San Simon road San Matias section in Sto. Tomas, P4,178,292; and Del Rosario-Bacolor road in the City of San Fernando, P2,568,588.

The Pampanga River Dike road Batasan-Candating section in Arayat, worth P3,235,350; San Nicolas 1st barangay road in Sasmuan, worth P1,213,448.57; Phase 11 of Guagua-Sta. Rita-Porac road San Matias and Becuran section, worth P8,741,047.12; Phase IV Dila-dila section, worth P8,504,335.85,both in Sta. Rita; and Phase V Dila-dila-Pulong Santol section in Sta.Rita-Porac, worth P8,700,301.17 were also completed.

The widening of San Miguel-Sta.Cruz barangay road in San Simon, worth P1,488,434.60; and reblocking and asphalt overlay of Sto. Domingo-Lourdes-San Isidro-Telacsan-Colgante provincial road from Minalin to Apalit and Macabebe, worth P7,454,000 were also finished.

The PEO also completed the renovation and improvement of the Department of Science and Technology building; construction of Environment and Natural Resources Office building; rehabilitation and improvement of dormitories and grandstand building at the Bren Z. Guiao Sports Complex including asphalt paint of the basketball court flooring of the convention center; and extension of Philippine National Police radio room building.

Meanwhile, the construction of Macabebe District Hospital worth P13,700,136 and the Dr. Andres Luciano Memorial Hospital formerly Balitucan District Hospital costing P30,422,087 in Magalang are presently ongoing.

Other ongoing infrastructure projects in the province are the repair and improvement of the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, Provincial Manpower Training Center, various facilities at Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital and San Basilio-Dila-Dila Ebus section in Guagua; construction of Prenis-PGRIS check gate in Lubao and two-storey Fire Marshall building; extension of the National Bureau of Investigation building at the Capitol compound; and rehabilitation of Escolastica Romero Hospital annex in Lubao town.
