Vintage car show set for Mt. Pinatubo commemoration

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Provincial Government of Pampanga, in cooperation with the Pampanga Vintage Car Club, will be holding a vintage and classic car show at SM City Clark on June 18.
The event dubbed as “First Pampanga Vintage and Classic Car Meet” is part of the weeklong celebration in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo on June 15 here.

Pampanga Vintage Car Club member Rolando Imperial said the event will feature a car parade and exhibit to be participated by at least 30 vintage and classic cars. The event will also feature the awarding of prizes in the categories of Best in Show, Best Vintage Car and Best Vintage Detail.
“The event aims to give Kapampangans the opportunity to see these rare cars and introduce to the local public the growing interest in vintage and classic cars,” Imperial said.
Imperial added that the event also aims to draw attention to the Mt. Pinatubo eruption and the lessons learned from the tragedy.
