SM City Pampanga unveils giant ‘patriotic’ pulburon

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – SM City Pampanga officials Sunday celebrated the country’s 113th Independence Day with a traditional flag-raising ceremony and the unveiling of a Giant “Patriotic” Pulburon.
SM City Pampanga public relations officer Rain Cervantes said the unveiling of a mosaic of the Philippine Flag made of pulburon was made in cooperation with the company Sasmuan Delicacies.

“This is the mall’s way of reminding mall goers of the significance of the Philippine flag in our battle for independence in the past.
Also we would like to promote Kapampangan delicacies in the event,” Cervantes said.
The unveiling was attended by SM Department Store branch manager Rose Chua-Labrador, Mall Manager Lana Erroba, Sasmuan Delicacies owners Fatima and Redentor Del Rosario, marketing manager Chie Basco, Branch Marketing manager Diane Ocampo, and asst. branch manager of SM Department Store Benjie Reyes.
The giant flag was made of 1,340 pulburons wrapped in blue; 1,340 pulburons wrapped in red; 106 wrapped in yellow and 798 white pulburons. The flag was made with a total of 3,584 pulburons and has a size of 7×11 feet.
