The 2011 Subaru Forester 2.5XT and 2.0X have undergone contemporary changes with a newly designed front grille, and side-view mirror integrated turn signals for the exterior, while having more creature comfort features such as Bluetooth connectivity, dual-zone climate control, and a newly designed instrument cluster for a more sophisticated approach.
The new Forester 2.0XS also features Subaruโs newly developed โFBโ series engines with improvements focused on environment friendliness without compromising performance. The new engine, Subaruโs third generation boxer engine, features an entirely renewed basic structure while still having the unique advantages of the horizontally-opposed layout namely low center of gravity, compact, and lightweight. Engine improvements include a 10% in fuel efficiency and driving performance for smooth acceleration in all speed ranges.
Both models, as faithful to Subaruโs core technology, feature Subaruโs unique full-time Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system and DOHC horizontally-opposed Boxer engine with Active Valve System (AVCS). Safety features on each model include fitted SRS front, side and curtain airbags, frontal three-point seatbelts with pre-tensioners, three-point seatbelts for all three rear positions and ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
