CDC prexy to employees: Think global

May 3, 2011

CLARK FREEPORT โ€“ The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) formally welcomed its new president, lawyer Felipe Antonio B. Remollo, in a ceremonial turnover rites held here.
Former CDC president Benigno N. Ricafort formally handed over the CDC flag to Remollo before CDCโ€™s more than 700-strong workforce.
In his acceptance speech, Remollo stressed on the CDCโ€™s role and impact on the local and global economy, saying โ€œWe must think big.

โ€œIโ€™d also like to emphasize on the fact the Clark Development Corporation is a global corporation. We must think big; we must think global, so we could impress upon other people, with investors or locators,โ€ Remollo said.
Remollo also shared about his experience as former mayor of Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental province. He said that after serving as Dumaguete mayor in 2001, he “promised not to be in government” any longer, citing “hazards of the trade.”
โ€œAs a lawyer, I know that every step, every decision you make, rightly or wrongly, there are people who will probably not welcome it or welcome them. Those are the hazards of the trade,โ€ he said.
Further, Remollo said the election of Benigno Aquino III as President gave him new hope for the country and for CDC in particular, and assured he will live up to the Presidentโ€™s “daang matuwid” (righteous path) vision.

Remollo impressed CDC employees when he promised that he can work with anyone.
โ€œI will be meeting you every day, seeing you every day. And I can promise you that I can work with anyone,โ€ he said. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
