Tracking system in villages eyed

ITY OF SAN FERNANDO โ€“ Plans to use a tracking system that will monitor Angeles Cityโ€™s large transient population are under way, a top city official said.

Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan said the tracking system will determine the places of origin and the reasons for staying of non-Kapampangans in the cityโ€™s villages.

Pamintuan said all village and city officials will be responsible for the implementation of the system.

The Pampanga provincial government recently urged villages to make a registry system to monitor transients and to help cut the rising crime rate allegedly perpetrated by non-Kapampangans who are living in the villages of Pampanga.

Pamintuan said the tracking system to be implemented in all villages in Angeles City is a response to the Provincial Governmentโ€™s call.
