Two airport corporation officials replaced
April 19, 2011
CLARK FREEPORT β Architect Nestor Mangio and businessman Raffy Angeles are no longer part of the state-run Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC).
Mangio, who is the former chairman of CIAC, and Angeles, who is a member of the CIAC board, are replaced by Felipe Gerardo Mallari and James Koch Dimal.
In a letter to new Bases Conversion and Development Authority chairman Felicito Payumo dated April 7, Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. noted that President Benigno Aquino III has approved the nomination of Mallari and Dimal. Mangio also vacated his post at the Subic Clark Alliance for Development Council.
Hundreds of workers at the Clark Civil Aviation Complex have expressed support to the new members of the CIAC board, noting that this will bring positive changes in the Clark airport, which is fast becoming one of the busiest airports in the country.
Pampanga businessmen have also expressed optimism that the new set of CIAC directors will bring in new development at the Clark Civil Aviation Complex. (Reynaldo Navales)
