April 16, 2011
ANGELES CITY — The City Government is set to open a satellite office at the Robinson’s Place in Barangay Balibago where business permits, birth certificates and the like will be issued.
In connection with this, the local government unit has forged a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the said mall to establish the government’s Business One Stop Shop (Boss).
Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan and Vice-Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting led city officials in the MOA signing Thursday as the satellite office is part of the City Government’s efforts to promote faster services to AngeleΓ±os.
Robinson’s Land Corporation was represented by its vice president for property management Tommy Lee O during the agreement signing.
“Our objective is to expedite the delivery of services to the residents of Angeles and make it less expensive and more convenient,” Pamintuan said.
The mayor said public and private partnership is one way of ensuring effective and efficient delivery of government services.
Aside from business permit application and birth certificates, residents can secure community tax certificates (cedula), health certificates, police clearances, marriage license fees, death certificates, tax payments, among others, at the satellite office.
Other line agencies of the national government like the National Bureau of Investigation, Land Transportation Office and the Department of Trade and Industry are also expected to set-up satellite offices in the said mall.
