Mimosa members still priority: Clark Development
March 24, 2011
CLARK FREEPORT — An official of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) clarified Wednesday that members of the Mimosa Golf and Country Club remain in the priority list over visitors, particularly Korean groups.
The issue emanated from an alleged “confrontation” recently, where the legitimate members, through their officers, complained over the alleged favoring of the visitors over them
But CDC assistant vice president Bernie Angeles said it was not a “confrontation” but a meeting where the concerns of the members were heard.
“Mr. [Benigno] Ricafort (CDC president) is very much aware that the members are still top priority,” Angeles said.
He said the CDC is now implementing controls and ironing out problems as permanent solutions to the concerns of the Mimosa members.
“We’re putting orderliness there. That means that these tour groups who come there must observe proper decorum. We will soon terminate the contracts of these tour groups as one the permanent solutions to the concern of the Mimosa members association,” Angeles added.
Meanwhile, a Mimosa member said that documents on their concerns and suggestions are now being consolidated by association head lawyer Babes Infante.
