Workshop on human rights slated

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) will conduct a one-day seminar-workshop on Human Rights Education on Local Council for the Protection of Children and Anti- Child Pornography on Wednesday in celebration of the Children’s Month.
The workshop seminar will be held at the CHR office in Barangay Dolores here.
Topics to be discussed will include the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Legal Bases of the Local Council for the Protection of Children, Juvenile Justice Welfare Act and the Anti-Pornography Act.
Highlight of the seminar will be the orientation on the Creation of the Inter-Agency Council on Anti-Child Pornography.
Presidential Proclamation No. 276 declared the month of October as Children’s Month. This is to emphasize the role of children in the family and in nation-building.
This year’s theme is “Local Council for the Protection of Children Para Sa Bright Child: Pakilusin, Pagtulungan Natin.”
