Police charge suspects in Mabalacat bank rob

MABALACAT – The town police have filed charges against the two suspects in the Producers Bank robbery where some P400,000 in cash were stolen.
Dominic Bingcola Lapia and Jason Ampad Dangpak alias Tomas Pat-Ongay, both of Mountain Province, were charged with robbery with force upon things before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor.

Superintendent Rodney Raymond Louie J. Baloyo IV, town police chief, said Lapia and Dangpak are active members of organized robbery syndicate Akyat Bahay Group operating in the Mountain Province.
The two were involved in the robbery of said bank over the weekend.
One of the suspects, accompanied by a woman, frequented the bank trying to open a checking account.
“Nagpapanggap daw sya na magbubukas ng account pero hindi naman nagbibigay ng mga requirements,” Baloyo said.
A witness, on the other hand, told investigators that the other suspect acted as lookout and was spotted several times outside the bank before the incident.
“The suspects were positively identified by the bank employees when we showed them their photos,” Baloyo said.
Investigation revealed that an undetermined number of individuals over the weekend made a hole from a drainage leading to the bank.
The suspects destroyed the closed circuit television (CCTV) or surveillance cameras and burglar alarm before forcibly opening the safety vault using an acetylene machine.
Jackielou Fernando, Producers Bank acting operations officer, told police that she and his staff left the bank properly locked at 5 p.m. on Friday.
Some P400,000 cash were placed inside the vault when the personnel left the bank on Friday, according to Fernando.
Baloyo said they will match the suspects’ fingerprints with the marks lifted from the equipment inside the bank.
Mayor Marino Morales commended Baloyo for establishing the identity of the two suspects.
