PDEA nabs 3 notorious drugs pushers in Aurora
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – A group of notorious drug pushers finally fell to the hands of authorities after a drug-bust operation in Barangay Pingit, Baler, Aurora, police reported yesterday.
Chief Supt. Edgardo T. Ladao, Police Regional Office 3 director, identified the suspects as Ibrahim Haji Yusop, 16, Cory Guimba Guro, 35, and her sister Omerao, 29 all residents of Sitio Kinalapan in Barangay Pingit.
Ladao said the suspects were all members of a drug syndicate engaged in “street selling” of methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as “shabu” in Baler town.
He said the group operates through a courier using motorized tricycle to avoid detection.
But, their illegal trade came to an end after they were arrested in a drug sting conducted by agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Luzon and members of Baler police station and the Aurora PNP Provincial Intelligence Branch.
Police seized from the suspects an undetermined amount of shabu, cash money amounting to some P28,000 and the color red Motorstar tricycle (6506-IV).
The suspects are now detained at Aurora Provincial Jail after charges of illegal drugs were in court against them. ●Rudy J. Abular
