Pampanga Day activities finalized

PAMPANGA Governor Lilia Pineda presided Monday over a meeting of the executive committee of the 440th Aldo ning Kapampangan to finalize activities in celebration of the province’s founding anniversary on December 12.
Provincial elected officials, department heads and other employees attended the meeting in preparation for the weeklong celebration.
Pineda scheduled the event early to use her enough time to attend to other official concerns.
The celebration will start on December 6, with the opening of a trade fair along the Jose Abad Santos Avenue (6:00 a.m.) followed by joint creative flag raising ceremonies at the Capitol compound (8:00 a.m.); a Thanksgiving Mass at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center (9:00 a.m.); a sectoral group presentation also at the Convention Center (1:00 p.m.); a business conference at Benigno Aquino Memorial Hall (3:00 p.m.); blessing of Capitol facilities (4:00 p.m.); and lighting of Christmas display and a fireworks display.
On December 7 will be the Aldo ding Katutubo (6:00 a.m.) and Aldo ding Talaturu (1:00 p.m.); pre-pageant of Mutya ning Kapampangan (4:00 p.m.); and Aldo ding Kayanakan at the convention center (6:00 p.m.).
The third day, December 8, is a day for provincial employees at the convention center, while the Municipal Governments will have the evening for their activities at the same venue.
December 9 is a day for farmers and members of the media community and the coronation night of Mutya ning Kapampangan at the convention center.
December 10 is a day for the Philippine National Police (PNP) with their activities scheduled at 7:00 a.m. at the convention center. TV5 network’s “Will Time Big Time” will also take place at 6:00 p.m.
On December 11, a fluvial parade at 7:00 a.m. along the coastal areas of the province will be held. The Most Outstanding Kapampangan Awards will be given out in the traditional program at the convention center on the same day.
