MASANTOL – The Municipal Government expressed concern about the increasing number of diarrhea cases here after the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) confirmed the presence of coliform and E. Coli in water from deep wells in eight villages of this town.
Barangay Nigui chief Bernardo Yumang earlier confirmed that 20 children were rushed to different hospitals in Pampanga and nearby Bulacan because of diarrhea.
Dr. Michael Aragon, chief of the PMA media affairs, said drinking water in the locality is not safe for human consumption.
As this developed, Governor Lilia Pineda immediately instructed the provincial disaster risk reduction and management council and health office to make necessary medical measures and water treatment solutions.
