Kids flock ‘Ha Ha Halloween’ event

ANGELES CITY — Some 1,392 kids and parents joined this year’s “Ha Ha Halloween” event at SM City Clark, as part of the mall’s Halloween celebration for children.
SM City Clark public relations officer Venus Manalang said the event is a yearly highlight of the mall during Halloween, to give children a chance to enjoy and win prizes and bond with their parents.
The event featured group and individual categories. The costume contest ranges from Filipino and Western Halloween themes. The award categories included the Cutest Character, Most-SPOOK-tacular and Fa-BOO-lous outfit.
Manalang said the event aimed to bring out the creativity among participants who were encouraged to do their own costumes and make-up for the event.
Another highlight of the event is the Halloween Family category that allowed whole family members to compete in the costume contest.
Participants were judged according to adherence to the Halloween theme, creativity, visual impact and projection. The winners received P5,000 worth of SM gift certificates.
The participants exhibited their costumes and paraded around the mall.
